Schmidt Styliner Scribeliner Scribe Markers for Automation and Integration
The Scribeliner scribe marking machines are capable of applying the deepest marks in the Styliner marking line. Clamp tooling with sufficient strength to overcome the marking force is required for all applications.
Scribeliner scribe markers are used where a deep, recoverable mark is required, such as automotive vehicle identification number (VIN) applications.
An example of this application would be a hidden VIN that might be revealed and intentionally obliterated to conceal the VIN of the vehicle. Using conventional methods, the obliterated VIN can be recovered and the true VIN discovered.
Standard scribe marking head configurations include;
- Separate marking head with a 1” x 4” marking field, with or without a steel or aluminum protective cover, integrated tooling mounting locations for integration into clamp or support tooling. The 1” x 4” marking field tool is commonly used on automotive assembly lines, integrated onto robots or articulating arms.
- Separate marking head with a 4” x 3” marking field, with or without a steel or aluminum protective cover, integrated tooling mounting locations for integration into clamp or support tooling. The 4” x 3” marking field tool is commonly used on automotive assembly lines, integrated onto robots or articulating arms.
- Separate marking head with a 6” x 6” marking field with integrated tooling mounting locations for clamp or support tooling. The 6” x 6” marking field tool is used for fixed mount, rigid column applications only.
