Schmidt Styliner Stinger Dot Matrix Marking Systems for integration or hand held use
The Stinger series dot peen marking machines offers the automation house, machine designer, systems integrator or machine tool builder a machine with a small tool envelope size and two standard marking head configurations adaptable to many integration requirements.
Standard machine configurations include;
- Separate marking head with 1” x 2.5” marking field and mounting holes for attaching the marking head to a robotic arm, static mounting block, linear slide assembly, articulating arm, etc.
- Hand held portable marking head with a 1” x 2.5” marking field, standard end effector and a handle mounted trigger switch for back-up tooling systems, hand held tooling platforms, portable work stations, etc.

Controls and Software
Controls and software for Schmidt Marking Systems dot matrix markers are available in different configurations and software combinations, including 2D data matrix, to accommodate most design requirements.
All Schmidt Marking Systems controllers are housed in a NEMA 12 enclosure to ensure controls reliability in even the most harsh manufacturing environments.
Standard controls configurations are;
- MS104 controls with two (2) RS-232 communication ports, nine available I/O's (six input, three output)
- MS P controls with one available RS-232 communications port and connections for an LCD-Q-terminal, keyboard and monitor
- MS WinXPe controls with one serial and one parallel port, three available USB ports, RJ45 Ethernet and Windows XP embedded OS
- MS Win controls with an available USB port
